OUTBACK EXHAUSTS WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS POLICY

At Outback Exhausts (OE), we are committed to providing high-quality exhaust systems designed to
deliver excellent performance and durability. To ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind, we offer a
warranty on our products, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Our warranty is aligned with
industry standards, ensuring that you can trust our products to meet your expectations.

1. Warranty Coverage
a) Outback Exhausts offers a limited warranty for all exhaust systems and components sold
through our authorized dealers and directly through our website.
b) The warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and conditions.

2. Warranty Period
a) The length of the warranty varies based on the product type and its usage. The warranty periods
are as follows:
♦ Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems: 5 years
♦ Mufflers / Resonators: 5 years
♦ Catalytic Converters: 2 years
♦ Mild Steel / Aluminized extractors: Normally 2 Years. The headers/extractors in our kits
are sourced from external suppliers. This means they are subject to the specific warranty
conditions of those suppliers. Please contact us for more information
b) In the event of a claim, the warranty period begins on the original date on invoice, as evidenced
by the purchase receipt.

3. Exclusions
a) The following conditions are not covered under the Outback Exhausts warranty:
♦ Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or neglect.
♦ Corrosion or rusting due to exposure to road salts, harsh chemicals, or extreme weather
conditions beyond typical use.
♦ Fair wear and tear such as cosmetic deterioration from regular use.
♦ Accidents or impacts that result in physical damage to the exhaust system.
♦ Damage caused by modifications to the exhaust system such as cutting, welding, or altering
the exhaust system.
♦ Failure of catalytic converters where a vehicle has been fitted with aftermarket forced
induction.
♦ Failure to maintain the exhaust system or use of incompatible parts.
♦ Damage or failure resulting from racing, off-roading, or other forms of competitive driving.
♦ Outback Exhausts does not warrant that the product meets all or any roadworthy standards
or EPA standards

4. Claims Process
To file a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

b) Describe the defect:
a. Provide the proof of purchase and describe the defect.
b. Provide detailed pictures and /or video of the defect and the surroundings.
c) Product Evaluation: Once a claim is received, we may require you to send the defective product
back to our facilities for evaluation. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
unless the warranty claim is validated.
d) Resolution: After evaluation, if the claim is approved, Outback Exhausts will either:
♦ Repair the product at no charge to you, or
♦ Replace the defective product with a similar item at no additional cost.
e) In some cases, if an identical part is unavailable, we will offer a comparable product of equal or
greater value.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
a) OE’s liability is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the defective product. We are not
liable for any consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the use or failure of our
products. This includes, but is not limited to, the cost of labor, loss of use, or damage to the
vehicle or other components.
b) OE is not liable for any Additional work required to be completed in addition to fixing the defect
in product. Additional work includes any disassembly and reassembling, repair or maintenance
of parts not supplied by OE.

6. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COSTS OF CLAIM
a) OE is only responsible for the costs directly associated with repairing the defect on the product
or replacing the product purchased from OE.
b) Any associated labour or freight costs will be at the cost of the Customer.
c) Any works required to be completed under clause 2, which are in addition to those directly
related to rectification of a defect, will be at the cost of the Customer.

7. Rights at Law
a) The benefits given to the customer under this warranty are in addition to other rights and
remedies of the customer at law in relation to the goods and services.
b) OE’s Goods/Services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. The Customer is entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The Customer is also
entitled to have the Goods/Services repaired or replaced if the Goods/Services fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

8. IMPORTANT NOTES
a) Warranty claims will not be honored without valid proof of purchase.
b) Products purchased from third-party marketplaces may not be eligible for warranty coverage.
c) Warranty coverage may differ based on the region and jurisdiction.
d) This warranty applies only to the original purchaser for the originally intended vehicle and is
non-transferable.
e) If a Defect does not materialize in the Goods/Services prior to the date provided in clause 2, OE
will have no liability to the Customer under this Warranty Against Defects and the Customer
releases OE from all claims for loss or damage in any way connected with the Goods/Services
from that date.
